My Philosophy/Mission Statement
“You are what you eat”. It is an old cliché that has never been truer than it is today. If we consider the analogy that food is the fuel for our bodies health and longevity as gasoline is the fuel for an automobile engine’s performance, then the average American is fueling up for bumpy ride through life!

The additives, hormones and pesticides commonly used in the production of our foods are causing our “engines” to sputter, backfire, and poorly perform. The saturated fats, hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup we consume are robbing us of our gas mileage, fouling our spark plugs and clogging our fuel injectors.

So much of our food supply has been altered from its pure, natural and nourishing form as God created, to scientifically engineered, hormone, pesticide and preservative laden "super foods" that are scarifying nutritional value for higher yields, longer shelf life and higher profits. Our lifestyles have become so fast paced and hectic that we make these poor food choices out of convenience and accommodation instead of nutritional value and health. We have become a society that, generally speaking, practices symptomatic self health care instead of preventive self health care. We eat and drink all the wrong things until we are plagued by illness then we rely on the health care and pharmaceutical industries to fix us.

The good news is that we do not have to concede to poor nutrition and health as a consequence of modern society. We can live healthy and vibrant lives if we choose to take charge of our health and well being and get back to the basics of life. I believe the key to good health, longevity and well being is preventing the onset of illness and disease by making our health a priority everyday.

The foundation for a good, preventive health plan is proper nutrition. Proper nutrition can be achieved by getting "back to basics" and simplifying how and what we eat, eating for health instead of convenience and by honoring God by entrusting in what he has provided for us on earth. You cannot get any more "back to basics" than Adam and Eve, and although they may seem as an unrealistic example of what our diet should be modeled after, we can learn a great deal about ourselves and our nutritional needs by considering what food sources were available to them.

The nutritional needs of man kind have not changed since our exodus from the Garden of Eden. The same nutritional sources originally created by God to maintain health, well being and longevity are the same that we need today-Nothing more, nothing less. Although much of our mainstream food supply has been altered from it’s pure and perfect God created state, many food and herbs sources are still available to us if we take the time to seek them out and incorporate them into our lives.

All natural, organically grown foods and herbs are the key to a successful nutritional and preventive health regimen. The leaves, bark, roots, fruit and stems of Herbs have been used for medicinal purposes and food for thousands of years. They are nature’s health solutions packed with powerful natural compounds. Herbs can offer many health benefits without the risks and harmful side affects of prescription medications and are very complementary to a preventive health based diet. After experiencing the benefits of a preventive health lifestyle for myself, I have recognized my calling to share this truth with others. I devote this site and my practice to honoring God by serving others and giving all the glory and praise to him for all he has given to us.
